Kusure

6 - 9 May 2021

A solo exhibition Kasure at Frölunda Kulturhus utställningshallen. The exhibition was shown digitally due to the covid restriction.

In the exhibition, Shogo shows his paper works, inspired by the Japanese traditional weaving technique Kasuri. The Japanese word Kasuri comes from Kasure which describes a blurred and uneven surface. The paper weaving project started during Intertradition, a craft exchange project between Japan and Sweden, where he learned traditional techniques from artisans which he now interprets in his own context. His works will be shown in the exhibition hall at Frölunda Kulturhus during Craft Days, 6-9th May. Due to the current situation, the exhibition will be shown through a film on Frölunda kulturhus’ website.
